Baby Naming

Abby's baby naming was a few weeks ago. It was a wonderful day. In the Jewish religion, babies are welcomed into their family and given their Hebrew name in a ceremony. Typically this ceremony is done for boys, also known as the bris, eight days after birth. Most recently, Jewish parents have been holding a brit bat for their daughters. Also, children are named after a deceased relative to help honor and carry on their memory.

Abigail Mira is named after Micah's maternal grandmother Anne Gelman and my great grandmother Mae Gwen Cutter. Her Hebrew name is Avigayil Miryam bat Meier u' Chana.
Since family is so important to us, we incorporated all of our immediate family members who were able to make it down to Baltimore in the ceremony. We were also surrounded by many friends and extended family members for this event. It mean to so much for us to share the day with those that we love.

Here are some pictures of the day.
