An update of sorts...

So I made a comment to some of the family members that I wasn't going to update my blog until I got a 'nasty' email from Grammy. Well today in my email, I got the 'nasty' gram from Gram. So I'm updating the blog.

I can't believe how time flies. It feels like just yesterday I was updating the blog after Thanksgiving. Now it is January 8th. Where does life go?

The holidays were good. Mom and Dad came down to visit for Christmas which was nice. It was the first time that they were able to see the house. Mom helped me make curtains for the kitchen and living room. And Dad helped hand some stuff like curtain rods and shelves. I had to make sure that they had things to do when Micah and I were at work on Christmas Eve. (he he)

Micah left the day after Christmas for a week in Iowa, getting the AP set up for the caucus. So Reese and I hung out all week. I think he was actually a little disappointed when Micah returned because he had to give up his spot on the bed. Micah was home for about two nights before he was off again to produce coverage of the Caucus from Washington on January 3rd. On Friday, January 4th, Micah and I headed up to New Hampshire. He was going up to help produce coverage of the upcoming primary and I tagged along to visit family and friends. Pretty much as soon as we landed, we rushed to the hotel and Gram and Grampy were waiting for me to take me to Cyndi's. It was so nice to see everyone and spend time with family. (Even if Toby did almost throw up on me.)

I had so much fun hanging out with Cyndi, Dom, Becca and Kenzie. Kenzie and Becca taught me how to play Spiro, a PlayStation game. It is sad when a 5 year old and 8 year old can beat you at a simple game.

After my very short visit with the Ciolino's, I had dinner with Katie. It was so nice to just sit and talk with my best friend. I miss the days when would spend hours in each other's dorm rooms, watching hockey and talking about life. I just need to convince her to move down here. (KT - it is much warmer here in Maryland. We might not have hockey, but who can turn up 70 degree weather in January?!? I'm sure we can find you a job! Think about! I need my best friend!)

Growing up in New Hampshire, I don't think I ever realized how big a deal it is that NH is the first primary. This is the first time that I've never lived in New England during the primary. The hotel we said at in Manchester was the headquarters for ABC News and I've never seen so many reporters and camera men/women in one place at one time. But the cool thing was that I got to see Charlie Gibson, Sam Donaldson and Tim Russert. That was pretty cool. They were just hanging out in the lobby of the hotel.

I think that is a brief update about what I've been up to over the past couple of weeks. Micah and I are heading to Las Vegas from the 18 - 21 of January. It is a belated anniversary trip. I'm sure that I'll have so excited stories to share when we get back. I'll have to remember to bring my camera.
